Good morning pastors parents and friends,
I’m Emmanuel Ong and today I will be sharing my thanksgiving speech starting off by sharing my faith journey.
To me, my faith journey is living my life with an ongoing daily dependence on God. I want to share and give thanks for God and his abundant love for me and how I depended on him in 2022.
Let me share my faith journey in 2022. In September, I prayed every day for my DSA (direct school admission) but I did not get accepted into the 2 schools. I was initially worried that I will have nowhere to go but I still had faith and trusted that God had a perfect plan for me.
I continued to pray that God will help me and waited until late November for my results, and December for my school choice. I thank God that I was able to get into a Secondary school and I learnt how to wait and trust Him.
I plan to serve God by sharing about God’s love to other people and inviting them to church.
Lastly, I want to thank my family especially my mother for praying for me everyday and reminding me to trust God. With that, I hope to pass on the faith and pray for others too.
Hello everyone, my name is Jaen and I am 13 years old this year. I want to thank God for all His blessings in my life.
Today, I am happy to be graduating from the Children’s ministry and will be joining the youth ministry. I am considered a young adult now. My goal is to serve God in the worship ministry just the same as my dad and mum.
Thank you everyone.
Hello everyone, my name is Gabrielle and today I’ll be talking about my faith journey with God and how I want to contribute to the church.
A few months ago, when I tore a ligament, I was really sad as I knew I wouldn’t be able to dance or train anymore. When I was brought to the hospital, the doctor said that it would take at least 3 months to heal. However, it was a miracle that I was able to get back on my feet after 1 and a half months and started training and dancing a few weeks later.
There was also a time when I was a 12 month old infant. I had a lung infection and almost died from it because I wasn’t able to breathe properly. By then, it’s was nearly the end of the year. My father had exhausted all his Childcare leave and his vacation leave and was afraid to lose his job because he had spent a large amount of time away from work. According to what my father said, I was able to recover within a week and that helped to preserve my father’s job as a doctor to provide for the family.
Another thing that I would like to thank God is that I am grateful for my Sunday school teachers, school friends and my family members for always looking after me and taking care of me. I remembered when I was injured, my siblings would always walk beside me while I was in my crutches so that I wouldn’t slip and fall. They would also make sure that nothing was blocking my path to make things easier for me. I am mostly thankful to my teachers and parents for paying lots of attention to me, making sure I made the rights choices and guiding me so that I would grow up to become a disciplined person.
I would like to contribute to the church by playing the piano during worships as it is a talent given by God and I should use that talent to serve him. Thank you for listening.
